Welcome to the Raptor Trust
MOTHER NATURE STRIKES AT THE RAPTOR TRUST
A National Weather Service Tornado Alert became a devastating and harsh reality on Monday, Oct 7th at the Raptor Trust. A violent storm ripped through the Raptor Trust compound, smashing rehabilitation cages, breaking large trees in half and leaving a trail of damage in it’s path worse than last year’s Hurricane Sandy. Remarkably, no Raptor Trust birds or staff were injured, and all of our birds were safely recovered from their damaged cages and are safe.
Our medical facility and admitting area were not damaged, so our rehabilitation work continues and we are open to receive injured birds. The Raptor Trust’s maintenance staff has worked tirelessly the last few days to make visiting safe again. Therefore, as of October 10th, our viewing areas and visitors areas are currently open, and we welcome guests to come and view our raptors on display.
Please consider helping out now with a donation, large or small. See the donations page at http://theraptortrust.org/
